From Technician to Visionary Entrepreneur

J Kimo Collins, the driving force and visionary founder of JKC & Associates, brings a unique blend of technical precision, strategic acumen, and hard-won entrepreneurial experience to every client partnership.

Hailing from Mililani, Hawaii, Kimo's journey began with a foundation in technical expertise, serving in the United States Air Force as an Avionics Technician and later amassing 16 years as an Electronics Technician. This background instilled a meticulous approach to problem-solving and a deep understanding of complex systems.

In 2005, Kimo embarked on a significant career transformation, venturing into the life and health insurance industry. His innate drive and leadership qualities quickly became apparent. Starting as a new trainee, Kimo's trajectory was remarkable: advancing to Supervisor within three months, Manager in six, Regional Manager within two years, and Regional Director by his third year. His ascent culminated in an appointment to the Board of Directors within his fifth year in the field—a testament to his dedication, strategic thinking, and ability to inspire and execute.

This dynamic career, spanning over 19 years in the insurance sector, provided extensive experience in sales, sales training, leadership development, team building, customer service, project management, and strategic business optimization.

Today, as the President of J Kimo Collins & Associates LLC and its diverse family of companies, Kimo channels this rich tapestry of experience into his true passion: empowering fellow entrepreneurs. He intimately understands the challenges and triumphs of building businesses from the ground up, having successfully launched and scaled multiple ventures of his own. His mission is to share this practical wisdom, helping other business leaders navigate their paths, turn ambitious visions into tangible successes, and build resilient, thriving enterprises.

Driven by a deep sense of purpose—inspired by his two wonderful daughters who have always been his "why"—Kimo also champions a balanced life, enjoying nature, fitness, gardening, and holistic wellness, principles that often find their way into his holistic approach to business and life.
